Area Home Sales Still Lagging in August

INDIANAPOLIS -- A report Tuesday from real estate tracker
Landrigan & Co. shows the continuation of a soft housing market. The number of pending home sales in August in the 13-county region decreased by 16.27 percent from August 2006. Sale prices increased 1.24 percent in August. The report is based on the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of Realtors database. Real estate company F.C. Tucker also releases a monthly report based on the database. Final MIBOR statistics for August are expected later this month. (Star report)
